Make Specific Mobs Spawn Only in Certain Biomes

Target Individual Mob Types by Biome

You can override default spawning to make mobs appear only where you want them.

1. Open the configuration file and find the custom rules section

2. Create a new rule specifying the mob type (for example, ghast, creeper, or skeleton)

3. Add a biome condition to restrict where that mob can appear

4. Optionally set a weight or spawn rate for that mob in that biome

5. Save and reload your world

Example Use Cases

  • Make Ghasts spawn in desert biomes instead of only the Nether
  • Restrict Drowned to ocean and river biomes
  • Limit Spiders to forest areas
  • Create biome-specific challenges where certain mobs only appear in dangerous zones

You can create as many rules as needed, and they stack to give you complete control over which creatures inhabit each part of your world.
