What Hives Contain

Underground hives are rich with special resources. Inside, you'll find Heartlens and special cores growing within the structure itself. These materials are essential for crafting wards, summoning items, and other mod-specific tools.

Safe Harvesting

Clear out hostile enemies before attempting to gather materials. Use ranged weapons or create distance to avoid being overwhelmed. The Nexium Tentacle makes breaking infected blocks faster, but standard tools work too—just slower.

Crafting Priorities

Focus first on crafting wards for base defense, as corruption spreads continuously. Next, gather enough materials for a Nexium Heart to summon the Torment Root boss. This unlocks the Nexium Tentacle, which speeds up all future material gathering.

Sustainable Collection

Hives regenerate or new ones spawn as corruption spreads, so you'll have ongoing access to materials. However, balance your gathering with base defense—don't venture too far from home if corruption is actively threatening your structures.
