Locating Castles

Overgrown Castles spawn naturally in savannas and swamps. They're distinctive structures that stand out from the landscape. Explore these biomes methodically, or use the terrain's natural features to spot them from a distance.

Unlocking Chests

Castles contain locked chests that cannot be opened with standard tools. You'll need a Radiant Key to unlock them. These keys must be obtained elsewhere in the mod—typically from defeating bosses or finding them in other loot structures.

Gathering Loot

Once unlocked, castle chests contain valuable materials and items that are difficult to find elsewhere. These rewards are worth the effort of locating both the castle and the key.

Exploration Tips

Visit multiple castles if possible—each contains different loot pools. Mark their locations so you can return later if you need specific materials. The structures themselves may also contain useful blocks and building materials.
