Craft Your First Netherite Compass

Gather Your Materials

Before crafting, you'll need to collect the required ingredients. The Netherite Compass uses materials that reflect its purpose—combining standard crafting components with Netherite to create a tool powerful enough to sense Ancient Debris deep underground.

Arrange and Craft

Once you have all materials, open your crafting table and arrange them according to the recipe shown in the mod's crafting guide. The compass will take shape as a specialized tracking tool.

Test Your Compass

After crafting, hold the compass in your hand. If you're in the Nether near Ancient Debris, the needle will point toward the nearest block within range. If the compass spins continuously, you're either too far from any Ancient Debris or none exist in the searchable area around you. This spinning behavior confirms the compass is working and actively searching.

Keep the compass in your hotbar while mining—it's your dedicated Ancient Debris detector and will guide you to valuable ore deposits efficiently.
