Choose the Right Chip Type for Your Needs
Understanding Chip Categories
Capture Traps use four distinct chip types, each designed to store specific entity categories:
- Global Entity Chips: Capture any mob type; most versatile option
- Water Creature Chips: Specialized for aquatic mobs
- Monster Chips: Store hostile mobs only
- Peaceful Mob Chips: Hold non-hostile creatures
Selecting for Your Defense Strategy
For a Cyborg Keeper, use a Monster Chip to trap the charged creeper. This ensures compatibility and optimal keeper conversion.
For display and collection purposes, match the chip to the mob type you're capturing. This keeps your base organized and makes it easier to manage multiple traps.
Practical Setup
Place different chip types around your base depending on your goals:
- Use Monster Chips near your turrets for keeper conversion
- Use Peaceful Mob Chips if you're collecting creatures for decoration
- Use Water Creature Chips if you're building aquatic defenses
Each chip displays its trapped mob visually, so you can see at a glance what's stored where.
