Getting Trimmed Tools with a Compatible Tool Trims Mod

How Tool Trimming Works Here

Naturally Trimmed Mod focuses on armor trims, but it supports trimmed tools when a compatible mod such as Tool Trims is installed alongside it. The two mods work together: the tool-trim mod provides the tool trim system, and Naturally Trimmed applies trims to tools found in loot, trades, and mob drops.

Setup Steps

1. Install both Naturally Trimmed Mod and a compatible tool-trim mod in the same instance.

2. Launch the game once so configs generate for both mods.

3. Check the Naturally Trimmed config for any option relating to tools and make sure it is enabled.

4. Verify the tool-trim mod is loaded by opening a smithing table and confirming tool trim recipes are available.

Getting Trimmed Tools in Play

  • Loot structure chests, since tools appear in many loot tables and can roll a trim.
  • Check villager trades from tool-related professions.
  • Kill mobs that spawn holding tools, then collect the drops.

Troubleshooting

If tools never come out trimmed, confirm both mods are present and that the tool option is on in the config. Without the compatible mod, Naturally Trimmed will only affect armor, so tools will stay plain.
