Configuring Naturally Trimmed Mod Behavior

Why Configure It

By default the mod applies trims randomly across mob drops, chest loot, trades, and bartering. If you want trims to be rarer, more common, or limited to certain sources, the config file is where you change that. The mod is built to be customizable, so most behavior is adjustable without editing code.

How to Edit the Config

1. Launch the game once with the mod installed so the config file is generated.

2. Close the game, then open your instance's config folder and find the Naturally Trimmed config file.

3. Open it in a plain text editor. You will see options controlling which loot sources can receive trims and how likely a trim is to be applied.

4. Change the values you want, save the file, and relaunch the game.

What You Can Typically Tune

  • Which sources are affected (mob drops, chest loot, trades, bartering).
  • The overall chance a piece of gear receives a trim.
  • Whether tools can be trimmed when a compatible tool-trim mod is present.

After Changing Settings

Existing items in your world keep their current trims. Only newly generated loot and newly spawned mobs use the updated settings, so test in a fresh area or new world to confirm your changes.
