How to Build with Branch Logs and Create Natural Tree Structures
Understanding Branch Logs
Branch logs are special decorative pieces exclusive to Naturalist Biomes that mimic real tree branches. Unlike standard logs, they connect and join naturally to tree trunks and other branch logs, creating organic-looking structures without requiring complex building techniques. Each wood type has its own branch log variant matching its aesthetic.
Placement Techniques
Place branch logs adjacent to tree trunks or other branch logs to trigger their natural connection behavior. They orient automatically to form realistic branch patterns. Experiment with different angles and densities—sparse branches create an open canopy feel, while dense placement builds a thick, tangled appearance. Branch logs work best when building upward and outward from a central trunk.
Design Tips
Use branch logs to extend trees beyond their natural generation, create custom tree shapes, or build hybrid structures combining multiple wood types. They pair well with leaves, vines, and hanging foliage blocks from the mod. Branch logs are purely decorative and don't provide wood when broken, so harvest actual logs from trees for materials.
