How to Turn Motion Blur On or Off in Natural Motion Blur Mod
Using the Config
Open the mod's config screen from the Mods list (or wherever the mod registers its config entry) and look for the blur toggle. Flipping it off disables the frame-blending effect entirely, so the game renders each frame cleanly with no ghosting or trailing. Flipping it on restores the blended look. This is the setting to change if you want blur gone permanently without touching commands.
Using Commands
If you prefer quick toggling mid-game, the mod exposes a command. Type /motionblur or its short form /mb in chat. Depending on how the command is set up, running it bare usually flips the current state, while adding an argument like on or off forces a specific state. Check the command's tab-completion suggestions to see exactly which arguments it accepts, since the mod may name them differently.
When to Disable It
Turn blur off when you need maximum visual clarity: reading small text on signs, building precisely, doing redstone work, or recording footage where trailing artifacts would be distracting. Turn it back on for exploration, flying, or any situation where smooth motion matters more than pixel-perfect sharpness. Because the toggle is instant, you can switch freely without restarting the game.
