How to Choose the Right Blur Method in Natural Motion Blur Mod
What the Blur Method Does
The mod offers several blending methods, and each one mixes frames differently. That changes the character of the blur: some methods look softer and more cinematic, others stay sharper or produce different trailing behavior. The right choice depends on your display, your framerate, and whether you prefer a subtle or pronounced effect.
Trying Each Method
Open the config and cycle through the available blur methods one at a time. For each, walk, sprint, and turn the camera so you can judge how the blending feels in motion rather than standing still. Pay attention to whether edges stay clean, whether fast turns produce distracting smears, and whether the effect holds up at your normal framerate. Note which method pairs best with your current strength and sample amount, since a method that looks good at low strength may look heavy at high strength.
Picking a Default
Once you find a method you like, leave it selected so every session uses it. If you play on different setups, such as a high-refresh monitor versus a laptop screen, you may prefer different methods on each. Combine your chosen method with the F5 toggle and your strength settings to build a complete look, then only revisit the method if the game feels off after changing other settings.
