How to Find a Battle Tower

What to Look For

Battle Towers generate as tall, stacked structures that stand out sharply against normal terrain. From a distance you will usually see a column of dark blocks rising well above the treeline, often with a distinct top section. They can spawn in most overworld biomes, so the fastest way to locate one is to travel in a straight line across open terrain rather than circling near your base.

Search Strategy

• Climb a hill or build a small pillar to get a high vantage point, then scan the horizon for a tall silhouette.
• Travel by boat along coastlines or by elytra if you have it; towers are easier to spot from above.
• Watch for the tower's guardian near the top. A Wither Skeleton that throws fireballs is a strong visual and audio cue that you have found the right structure.
• If you play with a minimap or structure-finding mod, enable structure markers so towers appear as waypoints.

Before You Approach

Mark the coordinates of the tower so you can return after resupplying. Note that towers are dangerous at every floor, not just the top, so do not walk in unprepared just because you found one quickly.
