How to Clear a Battle Tower Floor by Floor

Prepare Before Entering

Battle Towers are multi-floor dungeons packed with spawners and chests. Bring a full set of decent armor, a strong sword, plenty of blocks for barricading, and a bow for picking off mobs from range. Carry water buckets to break falls and to push mobs away from spawners. Torches help you see spawner placement before you commit to a fight.

Working Upward

• Enter at the bottom and clear each floor completely before moving up. Spawners on lower floors will keep producing mobs behind you if you skip them.
• Break or disable spawners as you find them. Placing torches around a spawner reduces its effectiveness, and mining it outright stops it for good.
• Loot every chest you pass, but do not stop to sort inventory mid-fight. Grab and keep moving.
• Use the stairwell or central shaft to control the flow of mobs. Fight in doorways and corridors so you only face one or two enemies at a time.
• Expect the difficulty to increase as you climb. The upper floors and the roof are where the guardian waits.

Retreating Safely

If your health drops low, barricade a room and eat before continuing. It is better to leave and return than to lose your loot on a floor you cannot clear.
