How to Loot Chests and Barrels in Voyager Structures Safely

Most Voyager Structures buildings contain chests or barrels, but many are guarded. Going in unprepared is the fastest way to lose your gear.

Before You Enter

• Bring a full set of armour, a decent weapon, and plenty of food.
• Carry blocks to pillar up or wall yourself off if a fight goes badly.
• Bring a bed or remember your base coordinates so you can return.
• Empty your inventory of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Clearing a Structure

Approach from the outside and circle the building first. Look for spawner-like rooms, mobs standing on walls, or dark interiors where hostiles can hide. Light up doorways with torches as you go so nothing spawns behind you. Fight mobs in open areas rather than tight corridors where you can get surrounded.

Once the area is clear, check every container. Loot is not always in the obvious main room; look in side rooms, under stairs, on rooftops, and inside small annexes. Barrels are easy to miss because they blend into wooden builds.

Friendly Structures

Some Voyager Structures are home to villagers rather than enemies. Do not attack them. Instead, note the location and return with emeralds to trade, or build a path back so you can use them as an outpost.
