Set Up Your Controller for the First Time
Connect Your Controller
Plug your controller into your PC via USB. The mod will detect most standard controllers automatically. If you're using a PlayStation controller, ensure it's in USB mode rather than wireless.
Configure Controller Mapping
Open Minecraft and go to Options > Controls. You'll see a new Controller section. The mod provides default mappings for common controllers, but you can customize every button:
1. Scroll to the action you want to rebind
2. Click on the button field
3. Press the controller button you want to assign
4. Confirm the mapping
Test Your Setup
Enter a world and verify basic actions work:
- Movement with the left stick
- Camera control with the right stick
- Jump, attack, and place blocks with the mapped buttons
- Access inventory using your configured button
If any input feels unresponsive, check that your controller is properly connected and try remapping that specific button. You can also adjust stick sensitivity in the controller options to suit your preference.
