Understanding What WheelTweak Does and Why It Is Disabled in Accessories

WheelTweak is a Mouse Tweaks feature that lets the scroll wheel move items between inventories. It is genuinely useful in chests, your inventory, and most container screens. The problem is that the Accessories trinket GUI treats scroll input differently, and that mismatch is what causes trinkets to be removed.

Where WheelTweak Still Works

  • Chests and barrels
  • Your main inventory
  • Crafting and furnace-style screens
  • Most other container GUIs

In all of these, scroll-to-move behaves normally because this fix does not touch them.

Where It Is Suppressed

Only inside the Accessories trinket GUI. The fix detects that screen and turns WheelTweak off for the duration. The moment you close the screen, WheelTweak is active again.

Why Not Just Disable WheelTweak Globally?

Because you would lose a core Mouse Tweaks convenience everywhere. The fix is surgical: it targets one screen instead of crippling the feature. That is the entire design philosophy of this mod.

Practical Takeaway

You do not need to change any Mouse Tweaks settings yourself. Install the fix, leave WheelTweak enabled in your config, and let the mod handle the Accessories screen automatically. If you ever disable WheelTweak manually, this fix becomes redundant but harmless.
