Set Up Auto-Smelting with Fiery Tools

Fiery tools have a special feature: when enabled in config, mining blocks with them automatically smelts the drops. This eliminates the need for a furnace for certain materials.

Enabling and Using Auto-Smelting

First, ensure autoSmelt = true in the [features] section of your config. This setting is enabled by default.

Fiery tools have 148 durability and 7.0 mining speed — respectable stats for sustained mining. When you mine ore blocks with a Fiery tool, the resulting materials come out smelted automatically. This is especially useful for:

• Iron ore → Iron ingots
• Gold ore → Gold ingots
• Other smeltable ores

Note that auto-smelting consumes durability normally, so plan accordingly for long mining runs. Fiery tools are ideal for players who want to streamline their workflow and skip the furnace step entirely. Combine this with double drops for maximum efficiency when farming smelted materials.
