How to Find and Mine New Ores

Locating Ore Deposits

The mod generates over 15 new ores throughout the Overworld and Nether. These ores spawn at various heights and biomes. Use a mining strategy similar to vanilla ore hunting—explore caves, strip mine at different Y-levels, or use X-ray techniques to spot new ore blocks.

Identifying New Ores

New ores have distinct textures and colors matching their material (Steel, Blue Diamond, Dragon Scale, etc.). Familiarize yourself with these appearances so you can recognize them while exploring.

Mining Requirements

Different ores require different pickaxe tiers to mine successfully. Early-tier ores (like Steel) can be mined with Iron or better pickaxes. Advanced materials require pickaxes made from higher-tier materials. If your pickaxe is too weak, the ore will break without dropping anything.

Processing Ore

After mining, smelt raw ore in a furnace or use other processing methods (like a mod-added smelter if available) to obtain ingots. These ingots are then used in Smithing Table upgrades or crafted into tools and armor.
