With a stair frame in hand, open your crafting grid. Place the stair frame in one slot and the block you want to convert into stairs in another slot. This works with almost any block—solid blocks, decorative blocks, and even unusual ones like fire, water, and lava.

Craft Your Stair Variant

Craft the recipe to receive the stair variant of your chosen block. The resulting stairs will use the texture from your source block, maintaining visual consistency with the rest of your build.
