Create Your First Slab Using the Slab Frame

Gather Your Materials

You'll need a Slab Frame and any full block whose texture you want to convert into a slab. The Slab Frame is the crafting tool that transforms block textures into beautiful slabs.

Craft Your Slab

1. Open your crafting interface

2. Place the Slab Frame in the grid

3. Place your chosen block next to or adjacent to the Slab Frame (exact placement depends on the recipe layout)

4. Retrieve your new slab from the output slot

The resulting slab will inherit the texture and appearance of the block you used, maintaining full compatibility with your current resource pack. You can repeat this process with any block in your world—stone, wood, concrete, custom blocks from other mods, and more.

Tips

• Experiment with blocks from different mods to discover unique slab variations
• The slab will be half the height of a full block, making it perfect for detail work and layered building
• Check JEI to see all available slab combinations and their recipes at a glance
