Create Your First Pressure Plate

Gather Materials

You'll need a Pressure Plate Frame and any block you want to convert into a pressure plate. The frame is the key crafting component that transforms ordinary blocks into functional pressure plates.

Craft the Pressure Plate Frame

First, craft a Pressure Plate Frame using the standard crafting grid. Check the mod's crafting recipes section for the exact ingredient layout.

Combine Frame with Your Block

Once you have the frame, place it in a crafting grid alongside your chosen block. This works with almost any block in the game—wood, stone, dirt, concrete, or decorative blocks all work. The crafting grid will output a pressure plate made from that block.

Test Your Pressure Plate

Place your new pressure plate on the ground and walk over it. It should activate just like vanilla pressure plates, triggering adjacent redstone components like doors, pistons, or lamps.

Experiment with Different Blocks

Try combining the frame with various blocks to find aesthetic combinations that match your build. Each block type creates a unique-looking pressure plate while maintaining the same mechanical function.
