How to Fix a Crosshair That Is Invisible or Misaligned

If your crosshair vanishes or sits off-center after installing the pack, the cause is almost always the texture file or a conflicting pack, not the game itself. Work through these checks in order.

Invisible Crosshair

Confirm the pack is actually enabled and at the top of the load order. If it is, the crosshair PNG may have lost its transparency or been saved in an unsupported format. Reopen the file and make sure the background is transparent, not filled with a solid color, and that it is saved as a standard PNG. A fully transparent or empty image will also render as nothing, so verify the crosshair pixels are actually present.

Misaligned Crosshair

An off-center crosshair means the image is not centered on its canvas or is not square. Re-crop so the crosshair sits in the exact middle with equal margins on all sides, then reload. Changing GUI scale can also shift how it appears, so test at the scale you normally play on.

Conflicts

If another pack also edits the crosshair, only the highest one loads. Move the Modern Crosshair pack up, or remove the competing pack. Reload resources after every change and check in-game before moving on.
