How to Combine the Modern Crosshair With Other Resource Packs

Resource packs stack, and the crosshair is just one texture, so you can keep your favorite texture pack for blocks and mobs while still using the Modern Crosshair design. The key is load order.

Set the Load Order

Open the resource packs screen. Packs higher in the list override packs lower down when they touch the same file. Place the Modern Crosshair pack above your main texture pack if you want its crosshair to win. If your main pack already includes a custom crosshair and you prefer that one, move it above the crosshair pack instead.

Verify the Result

Apply the order and reload. Look at your crosshair in-game; if it did not change, another pack higher in the list is still overriding the crosshair file. Drag the crosshair pack upward until it takes effect.

When Combining Fails

Some packs bundle the crosshair inside a larger archive rather than as a standalone file, which can make ordering confusing. If two packs both define the crosshair, only the topmost one applies, so you cannot blend them. Decide which single crosshair you want and order accordingly. Always test in a safe area before relying on the setup in PvP.
