Set Up Your First Automated Chicken Farm

Gather Your Starting Birds

Walk around your world's natural biomes to find Tier 1 resource chickens. Use the Analyzer tool (right-click a bird while holding it) to check their stats—look for decent drop rates and growth speed. Catch them by throwing eggs at them or using a net if available.

Build Your Farm Structure

Place a Roost block in a safe, lit area to house your birds. Put your best chickens inside by right-clicking the Roost with them in hand. Position a Collector block adjacent to the Roost—it will automatically gather all dropped eggs and items into an attached chest or inventory.

Expand Gradually

As you collect more eggs, place additional Roosts nearby and connect them all to Collectors feeding into a central storage chest. The more birds you house, the faster your resource generation. Keep your farm well-lit and protected from mobs to prevent bird loss.

Monitor and Upgrade

Regularly check your Analyzer on housed birds to confirm they're producing. Once you have surplus eggs, begin breeding to unlock higher-tier chickens with better drop rates.
