How to Find and Observe Predators Safely

Locating Predators

Predators in Primal Mod spawn across different biomes. Lions and cave lions inhabit savanna and cave systems, bears roam forests and mountains, crocodiles spawn near water bodies, and sharks hunt in deep ocean biomes. Move cautiously through these areas, especially at dusk and night when predators are most active.

Observing Without Conflict

Stay at a distance and avoid sudden movements. Predators will hunt other animals first, so watch from elevated terrain or behind trees while they interact with prey herds. Use this time to study their behavior patterns—lions often hunt in coordinated groups, while solitary predators like bears may patrol larger territories.

If a predator notices you, back away slowly and create distance. Don't run directly away; instead, move toward natural barriers like water or dense forest where larger predators struggle to follow. Bring food and armor in case an encounter turns hostile. Observing predator-prey interactions gives you insight into ecosystem dynamics and helps you predict where herds will move next.
