Optimize Backpack Storage for Mining

Prepare Before Mining

Craft a backpack and fill it strategically before heading out. Leave room for valuable ores and materials you'll collect. Consider bringing multiple backpacks if planning a long expedition.

During Your Mining Trip

1. Use your backpack as primary storage for ores and gems

2. Keep your main inventory for tools, food, and torches

3. When your backpack fills up, open it with your hotkey and manage contents

4. Drop low-value blocks to make room for high-value ores

Return and Unload

When you return to base, use the sneak + right-click auto-unload feature on your storage containers. This quickly empties everything without manual clicking. If you brought multiple backpacks, unload each one into appropriate containers for sorting.

This workflow maximizes mining efficiency by giving you significantly more carrying capacity than standard inventory alone.
