How to Make a Mob Spawn With Random Health and Damage

Understanding the Randomness System

Mobs Properties Randomness works by attaching a set of properties to a mob type, then letting each property roll a random value within a range you define. The randomness is applied per-spawn, so two zombies from the same configuration can end up with different stats.

Setting Up a Randomized Mob

1. Open the mod's config folder and locate the file that defines mob properties (usually a JSON or config file per mob group).

2. Find or create an entry for the mob you want to change, for example a zombie.

3. Add a health property and give it a range instead of a single number. The mod picks a value inside that range each time the mob spawns.

4. Do the same for attack damage and movement speed if you want them randomized too.

5. Save the file and reload the config in-game (or restart) so the changes take effect.

Testing Your Changes

Spawn several of the mob in a test world and hit them with different weapons. You should see them die at different times and deal different amounts of damage. If every mob feels identical, your range is probably too narrow or the property name is wrong. Check the log for parse errors if nothing changes at all.
