Capture and Contract Villagers with the Emerald Lasso
The
Emerald Lasso and Villager Contracts
The emerald lasso is unique—it only captures villagers, and only if they're willing. Not every villager will accept capture. The key is establishing a
contract first.
Getting a Villager to Accept
1. Interact with a villager multiple times through trading or other means to build rapport
2. Some villagers will eventually accept a contract, while others refuse no matter what
3. Once a villager accepts, you can capture them with the emerald lasso
4. Right-click the willing villager to capture them
Why Capture Villagers?
Transporting villagers to new locations lets you build custom trading hubs, consolidate professions in one area, or move them away from danger.
Important Notes
There's no guaranteed way to make every villager accept a contract—some are simply unwilling. Be prepared to search for cooperative villagers. The emerald lasso, like others, may have time limits, so transport your captured villager promptly to your destination.
