Understanding Nether Bubble Mechanics
Lava bubbles spawn in the Nether above dangerous terrain and lava pools, making them inaccessible without the right tools. When popped, they set nearby mobs on fire and drop loot. Lava chest bubbles are especially valuable—they drop a chained chest containing rare items.
Safely Harvesting Lava Bubbles
1. Use the
Bubble Wand to ascend – Create a bubble platform to reach the floating lava bubbles
2. Pop the bubble from above – Strike it while standing on your wand bubble to collect drops
3. Collect the chained chest – If it's a lava chest bubble, the chained chest will fall; break it to access rare loot
4. Watch for mob aggression – The fire effect will anger nearby Nether mobs, so be prepared to defend yourself or retreat
Preparation Tips
Bring fire resistance potions or wear appropriate armor to protect yourself from the flames. Have a clear escape route planned before popping bubbles, as the fire spreads quickly. Consider clearing the area of aggressive mobs first to reduce complications during loot collection.
