How to Tell Whether MixinBooter Is Actually Working
Check the Log at Startup
MixinBooter does not add blocks, items, or a visible menu. Its job is invisible: it lets other mods apply bytecode patches while the game loads. The easiest way to confirm it is active is to read your latest log file from the logs folder. Search for the mod's name. You should see a line indicating it initialized early in the loading sequence, before most gameplay mods.
Verify Through a Dependent Mod
If you installed MixinBooter because another mod required it, the real test is whether that mod now loads without complaining. Launch the game and check:
- The dependent mod appears in your mod list.
- No error says a mixin could not be applied.
- The feature that mod adds actually functions in-game.
What "Not Working" Looks Like
If MixinBooter failed to load, dependent mods typically crash on startup or silently do nothing. You may see messages about a missing mixin config or an unsatisfied dependency. In that case:
1. Confirm MixinBooter is in the same mods folder as the dependent mod.
2. Make sure you are not running an incompatible loader version.
3. Check that no other early-loading library is conflicting.
Because MixinBooter has no in-game UI, the log file and the behavior of mods that depend on it are your only reliable signals.
