Equipping and Using the Mining Helmet

Craft a mining helmet using the recipe provided in the mod. Once equipped in your helmet slot, the built-in light source automatically activates, illuminating your surroundings without requiring torches or other light blocks.

The helmet's light works in all dark environments, making it ideal for cave exploration, mining, and underground building. Since the light is attached to your head, it moves with you and lights up areas as you explore.

A major advantage is freeing up your offhand slot—you can now carry shields, totems of undying, or other essential items instead of holding torches. If you want a personalized look, dyeable variants of the mining helmet are available for customization.
