Upgrade to a Better Backpack

Know When to Upgrade

As you progress deeper into mining, your current backpack will feel cramped. Iron and gold backpacks offer more slots than copper and coal. Emerald, diamond, and netherite bags are designed for end-game mining when you're collecting massive quantities of resources.

Gather Upgrade Materials

Mine the ore corresponding to your target backpack tier. Iron requires iron ore from stone or deepslate. Gold needs gold ore from deeper levels. Emerald, diamond, and netherite require mining in the deep underground or nether. The special mineral tier requires the rarest crafting material in the mod.

Craft Your New Backpack

Once you have enough material, craft your upgraded backpack at a crafting table using the same bundle-shaped recipe. Your old backpack can be stored or repurposed.

Transfer Your Items

Open both your old and new backpack. Drag items from the old backpack into your inventory, then into the new one. This gives you more storage space for your next mining expedition without losing your collected loot.
