Craft Your First Backpack

Gather Your Materials

Decide which tier backpack suits your current progression. Leather backpacks are the easiest to craft early game, requiring only leather from cows. Coal backpacks need coal ore mined from stone. Copper requires mining copper ore from deepslate or stone.

Craft at a Crafting Table

Open your crafting table and place your chosen material in the pattern shown in the recipe. The mod uses a bundle-shaped crafting recipe, so arrange your materials accordingly. Once crafted, the backpack appears in your inventory as a bundle-like item.

Open and Use Your Backpack

Place the backpack in your hand or hotbar slot. Right-click to open the backpack's storage interface. You'll see a grid of empty slots ready to hold your mined items. The number of slots depends on your backpack tier—leather offers basic space, while rarer materials like diamond and netherite provide significantly more storage.

Store items by clicking them into the backpack, just like a chest. Your backpack stays with you during mining trips, keeping your main inventory organized and maximizing what you can carry home.
