Build a Water Ride with Splashes and Drops

Designing the Water Track Layout

Create an elevated track path using the same anchor point method as a dry coaster. Plan a route that includes a steep drop section—this is where the big splash happens. Water rides work best with dramatic elevation changes and tight turns.

Adding Water to Your Track

Place water blocks along your track route to create the flowing water effect. The water will interact with your boat or raft cart as it travels. Position water at the bottom of drop sections to create impact splashes that riders will see and feel.

Installing the Drop Section

Use the Drop Track special machine at your steepest point. This track type will plunge your cart straight down, building momentum before it hits the water below. The sudden acceleration and splash create the thrilling log flume experience.

Testing Water Physics

Ride your water coaster to check splash timing and water flow. Adjust water block placement if splashes don't look dramatic enough. Ensure your boat cart handles the transitions smoothly between track and water sections. Add scenery like wooden supports and railings around the water area for an authentic theme park look.
