Convert a Villager into a Soldier

Get a Profession Order

Find a Commander in any village, or craft a Sand Table and use it on a villager to create one. Trade with the Commander until they offer a Profession Order.

Apply the Order

Hold the Profession Order and right-click on any adult villager. The villager will transform into a soldier based on the order type. Different Profession Orders create different unit types—Archers, Lancers, Swordmasters, and others each have their own order.

Equip and Deploy

Once converted, your new soldier will spawn with appropriate armor and weapons for their role. They'll automatically defend nearby areas and respond to raids. You can use Muster Orders to call them to your location, or they'll patrol naturally if stationed near a Command Post.

Tips

Convert multiple villagers to build a balanced squad. Mix unit types for better coverage—combine Archers for ranged damage with Swordmasters for melee defense. Soldiers near military buildings receive patrol bonuses and are more effective defenders.
