Open the Ancient City Portal to Enter The Sift

Preparation

Locate an Ancient City in the Overworld deep underground. You'll need a Goat Horn (found in Lush Caves) and access to Note Blocks and a way to place them.

Activation Steps

1. Navigate to the center of the Ancient City where you'll find a large reinforced deepslate frame.

2. Stand in front of the frame and use your Goat Horn to summon the Singer. You'll see ancient blocks begin to awaken through the creature's song.

3. Once Sonorous Deepslate blocks are activated, place Note Blocks on top of each one.

4. Right-click each Note Block to configure its note pitch, setting values from 1 to 8.

5. Left-click the Note Blocks in this exact sequence: 1 → 3 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 2 → 4 → 8

Entering The Sift

When the correct sequence is played, the gateway will open. Step through the portal to enter The Sift dimension. You can use a regular bed to set your spawn point here, and the dimension uses the same coordinate system as the Overworld, making navigation straightforward.
