How to Change a Mod's Settings Through MidnightLib's Config Screen
Once you've found the MidnightLib config overview, actually changing a value is straightforward — but the screen only shows options the owning mod has exposed, so knowing what to expect helps.
Opening a Mod's Config
From Options, open the MidnightLib config overview. Pick the mod whose settings you want to change. That opens the mod's own config screen, rendered by MidnightLib. The controls you see (toggles, sliders, text fields, dropdowns) are defined by the mod, not by MidnightLib itself.
Making Changes
Toggle booleans by clicking them. Drag sliders or type into number fields for numeric options. Dropdowns cycle through the allowed choices for enum-style settings. MidnightLib saves your edits as you go, so you generally don't need to hunt for a save button.
If a Setting Won't Stick
Some values are clamped to a valid range by the mod — if you type something outside it, the field will snap back. Others may only take effect after a world reload or game restart, depending on how the mod reads them. If a change appears to do nothing, try leaving and re-entering the world.
Tips
- Hover over a control to see its tooltip; mods often put helpful descriptions there.
- If you break something, most config screens let you reset a value to its default by right-clicking or via a reset control.
