Understand Melon Golem Combat Mechanics
How Melon Golems Attack
Melon Golems engage hostile mobs automatically by shooting melon seeds at them. These projectiles deal damage on impact. The golem will prioritize nearby threats and continue attacking until the mob is defeated or moves out of range.
Effective Targets
Melon Golems will attack all hostile mobs, including:
- Zombies and Creepers
- Skeletons and Spiders
- Endermen and other dangerous creatures
They ignore passive mobs and players, making them safe to have around your base.
Combat Limitations
With only 10 health points, Melon Golems are relatively fragile. They can be quickly overwhelmed by multiple strong mobs or take significant damage from explosions. They're most effective when supporting your own combat efforts rather than fighting alone.
Positioning Tips
Place golems where they have clear sightlines to approaching mobs. Elevated positions help them engage enemies from a distance before threats reach your base. Multiple golems working together are more effective than a single defender.
