Armor Your Limbs Correctly for Maximum Protection

Learn Limb-Specific Armor Coverage

Armor no longer provides blanket protection. Each piece now protects only the specific body part it covers. A helmet protects your head, a chestplate protects your torso, leggings protect your legs, and boots protect your feet. Gaps in coverage leave those limbs vulnerable to injury.

Equip Full Armor Sets

Wear a complete set of armor—helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots—to protect all vital areas. Prioritize protecting your head and torso first, since losing these causes instant death. Leg and arm protection is secondary but still important to avoid mobility penalties.

Understand Armor Limitations

Armor reduces damage to covered limbs but doesn't eliminate it entirely. Heavy hits can still injure protected areas. Armor degrades normally with use, so repair or replace damaged pieces regularly to maintain protection.

Check Your Configuration

If your server or world has "Simple Armor Calculation" enabled, armor works like vanilla Minecraft instead. Ask your admin or check the mod settings to confirm which system is active. This affects your entire armor strategy.
