Replace Existing Blocks Without Clearing Space

Enabling Replace Mode

Press V to toggle Replace Mode on or off. When active, the trowel will swap out existing blocks for your palette blocks instead of only filling empty spaces. This is essential for renovating structures or changing block types across an existing build.

Replace Mode is perfect for:

• Converting a plain stone wall into a textured mix of stone variants
• Updating old builds with new block types
• Adding detail to structures without rebuilding from scratch

Combining with Other Features

Replace Mode works seamlessly with all other trowel features. Use it alongside Rotation Control (which locks block facing) to replace stairs or slabs while keeping them oriented correctly. You can also use Replace Mode with color gradients to smoothly transition old blocks into new ones across your build.
