Fixing Health Reset on a Multiplayer Server (For Server Owners)

The Server-Side Requirement

The health reset bug is handled where the player joins. For multiplayer, that means the server. A client-side install only fixes your own single-player worlds; it does nothing for players connecting to your server.

Steps to Apply the Fix

1. Install the mod on the server, not just on clients.

2. Restart the server so the mod loads.

3. Have a test player equip gear or effects that raise their max health above the default, then fill to that value.

4. Have them disconnect and reconnect.

5. Confirm their health is retained instead of snapping back to the baseline.

Notes for Mixed Clients

Players do not need the mod on their own client to benefit from a server-side fix, since the server controls the join process. However, keeping it on clients is still useful for their single-player worlds. If a player reports the bug only in single-player, that is expected until they add the mod to their client.

Verifying It Worked

Watch the health bar immediately after a rejoin. A correct fix shows the retained value; a broken setup shows the default. If it fails, double-check the mod actually loaded on the server.
