Customize Individual Sound Types and Volumes

Fine-Tune Your Audio Experience

Not every sound needs to be at full volume. MAtmos lets you adjust individual sound categories called Expansions.

Adjusting Expansion Volumes

1. Press F7 in-game to open the MAtmos menu

2. Look for the list of Expansions (sound categories)

3. Select any Expansion—for example, interactions_weapons.xml for sword and tool sounds

4. Adjust its volume slider to your preference

5. Changes apply immediately

Disabling Specific Sounds

If you want to completely silence a sound category, set its volume to 0. This disables that Expansion until you raise the volume again.

Quick Global Volume Adjustment

To adjust all MAtmos sounds at once:

1. Hold down F7

2. Look up to increase global volume or down to decrease it

3. Release F7 when satisfied

This approach is useful when you want to keep the atmosphere but reduce overall loudness during intense gameplay or when others are nearby.
