How to Get Buttons, Doors, Fences, and Signs Directly from Bamboo

Bamboo Blocks in the Stonecutter

Bamboo behaves like the other wood types in the Master Cutter. Insert a bamboo block (or its stripped variant) and the stonecutter offers the full family of bamboo building pieces, including buttons, doors, fences, fence gates, planks and mosaic, slabs and mosaic slabs, stairs and mosaic stairs, and pressure plates.

1. Open the stonecutter.

2. Insert a bamboo block or stripped bamboo block.

3. Browse the list for the piece you want: door, fence, gate, button, pressure plate, planks, mosaic, slab, or stair.

4. Click the recipe to produce it.

Building with Bamboo Efficiently

Bamboo farms produce blocks quickly, so the bottleneck is usually crafting, not supply. The stonecutter removes that bottleneck by letting you go straight from block to finished piece. If you are building a bamboo-themed base, keep a stonecutter next to your farm and convert blocks as you place them.

Mosaic variants are included alongside the standard planks, slabs, and stairs, so you can mix textures without a separate crafting step. Stripped bamboo blocks are accepted too, which means you can produce stripped-look pieces without an axe. Stockpile bamboo blocks, then cut exactly what each room of your build needs.
