Understanding Master-Level Trades

The most valuable items in this mod—tridents, dragon's breath, sniffer eggs, and hearts of the sea—are locked behind Master-level trades. You cannot access these until a villager reaches their highest rank.

Leveling Villagers Efficiently

Trade with your chosen villager repeatedly to gain experience. Each completed trade moves them closer to the next rank. Focus on affordable early trades to level quickly without spending excessive emeralds. Once they reach Master rank, their full trade menu unlocks, including the rare items.

Targeting Specific Traders

The Shipwright carries ocean items like tridents and hearts of the sea. The Alchemist has dragon's breath and potion ingredients. The Gardener can provide sniffer eggs. Identify which rare item you need, create that profession's workstation, and commit to leveling that villager to Master. Keep emeralds in stock—rare trades are expensive but worth the investment for items that would otherwise require dangerous exploration or specific conditions.
