How to Add Custom Text to Your Minecraft Main Menu

Locating the Configuration File

After installing the mod, a configuration file is generated in your Minecraft instance's config folder. Look for a file named after the mod (typically mainmenucredits or similar). Open it with any plain text editor. Inside, you will find a section where you can define lines of text that appear on the title screen. Each line is usually a separate entry in a list or array.

Writing Your First Line

Add your desired text between the quotation marks of an entry. For example, to display a welcome message, you would write something like "Welcome to my modpack!". Save the file and restart Minecraft. When you reach the title screen, your text should appear, typically near the bottom or in a corner depending on the mod's default placement. You can add multiple lines by creating additional entries. Keep in mind that very long lines may overflow the screen width, so break them into shorter segments if needed. If your text does not appear, double-check that you edited the correct config file and that the mod is actually loaded.

Testing and Adjusting

Launch the game and check the main menu. If the text overlaps other UI elements, you can often adjust its position through the same config file. Some versions of the mod support X and Y offset values. Experiment with small changes and reload the game to see the result.
