Build a Multi-Pass Launch Sequence
Planning Your Launch Stages
Multi-pass launches use multiple motor sections with different timing:
1. Identify where carts need acceleration (launch zones)
2. Plan intermediate sections for coasting or trimming speed
3. Decide where carts should stop or be held between passes
Setting Up Motor Controllers
Each
Linear Motor Controller manages one track section:
1. Place a motor for each stage (Launch, Trim, Coast, Stop, End)
2. Attach a controller to each motor
3. Wire controllers to separate redstone signals so you can activate them independently
4. Use repeaters and delays to sequence activation timing
Execution
- Send a redstone pulse to the first controller to launch the cart
- Use Coaster Observers between sections to detect when carts reach each stage
- Trigger the next controller based on speed or time delays
- Combine with splashdown scoops for final braking
This creates realistic multi-pass coaster behavior where carts are launched, coast, trim speed, and brake in a controlled sequence.
