Bind a Macro to a Key That Already Has a Function

Using Keys with Existing Functions

You can bind macros to keys like WASD, T, or number keys without losing their original function. The mod provides two methods to activate these dual-purpose keybinds.

Method 1: Macro Activate Key

1. Bind your macro to the desired key using the normal keybind process

2. Press [MACRO ACTIVATE] key (set in Options) followed by your bound key

3. The macro executes while the key's original function is preserved

Method 2: Macro Override

1. Bind your macro to the desired key

2. Press [MACRO OVERRIDE]+[KEY] to activate the macro

3. Press the key normally to use its original function

Configuration

Both the Macro Activate and Macro Override keys are customizable in the Controls settings. Choose whichever method feels most natural for your playstyle. This allows you to create complex control schemes without sacrificing essential movement or interaction keys.
