Choosing Between the Mace Variants for Combat
Comparing the Three Variants
Each mace variant fills a different role:
- Diamond Mace – faster and stronger than the vanilla Mace, plus a main-hand speed boost. Best for players who want mobility and consistent melee damage.
- Flame Mace – built-in Fire Aspect. Best against fleshy, non-fire-immune mobs and for damage over time.
- Wind Sword – Wind Burst II and Sharpness. Best for knockback, crowd control, and launching enemies into fall damage.
Picking the Right One
- Fighting fast, evasive mobs? Use the Diamond Mace for its speed.
- Facing a tanky mob that you want to whittle down? The Flame Mace's burn helps.
- Surrounded by a mob swarm? The Wind Sword's knockback scatters them.
General Tips
All mace variants still benefit from the mace smash mechanic, so jump or drop before attacking for bonus damage. Keep a backup weapon for fire-immune or knockback-resistant enemies. Carry the variant that matches your playstyle rather than switching constantly mid-fight.
