Change the Time of Day with /day and /night

Setting Time to Day

The /day command instantly sets the world time to daytime, making the sun appear at its peak and eliminating darkness.

To use /day:

1. Type /day in chat

2. The sky will brighten immediately

3. Hostile mobs will begin to despawn or burn (if exposed to sunlight)

Setting Time to Night

The /night command sets the world time to nighttime, bringing darkness and spawning hostile mobs.

To use /night:

1. Type /night in chat

2. The sky will darken immediately

Important Notes

• These commands override the natural day-night cycle temporarily
• On multiplayer servers, only operators or players with permission can use these commands
• The time will continue cycling naturally after you use the command
• These are useful for photography, building in consistent lighting, or testing mob behavior
• Server administrators may restrict these commands to prevent griefing or maintain immersion
