Crafting Your Key

Before you can lock anything, you need a key. Craft a key using the mod's crafting recipe—you'll need basic materials like metal ingots and sticks. Check your crafting menu for the key recipe under Lucky's Locksmith items.

Locking the Chest

1. Place your chest or barrel where you want it

2. Hold the key in your main hand

3. Right-click on the chest or barrel with the key

4. The container is now locked to that key

Opening Your Locked Container

To open your locked chest later, you must have the matching key in your inventory. Hold it in your main hand and right-click the chest. Without the key, other players cannot open it—even with tools or explosives.

Pro Tip: Use Curios Slot

If you have the Curios mod installed, you can equip your key in the Curios slot instead of holding it. This lets you open your chests without taking up a hand slot, making it more convenient for survival gameplay.
