Combining the Low Shield Pack With Other Resource Packs Safely

Most players run several packs at once — a low shield pack, a low fire pack, maybe a GUI or font pack. Because resource packs overwrite each other by priority, combining them correctly is what keeps the low shield effect from disappearing.

Ordering Your Packs

Think of the Selected list as a stack where the top wins. A safe general order is:

1. Small, single-purpose packs you always want (low shield, low fire, clear water) at the top.

2. Large full texture overhauls below them.

3. Font, GUI, and sound packs wherever they don't conflict.

This way a big overhaul can't quietly replace the shield model you installed the low shield pack for.

Testing After Changes

Whenever you add or reorder packs, click Done, then raise a shield in-game to confirm it's still small. If it grew, a newly added pack outranks it — move Low Shield back to the top. You can also press F3 + T to reload resources without restarting.

Avoiding Conflicts

Don't run two packs that both shrink shields; only the top one applies and the other is wasted space. If a pack bundles a shield change you didn't want, you can't disable just that part in-game — you'd need to remove the pack or accept its shield model. Keep your list short and intentional so the low shield effect always survives.
